Nick Holmes

I’m based just north of Boston, where I spend most of my time building things, fixing up an old house, and finding excuses to get outside. I work in engineering and automation, but I’m just as interested in mountains, boats, bikes, and whatever project I’ve talked myself into next.

I tend to learn by doing, usually starting before I completely know what I’m doing. Right now, I’m mostly trying to build a life with more time for the things that feel worth doing.

This site is the notebook: what got built, what got learned, where I went. Finished or not. A failed project still gets a page, because the interesting part is usually the part that didn’t work.
